As Fall and Winter quickly approach, we wanted to take a lasting look at the elements and visual treats that make the cold stay outside and allow us not to follow Persephone into the drabness of winter.

Women are often the unsung heroes in our society, over-shadowed by accomplishments from their male counterparts. Every queen deserves to be recognized without her king, and we at Patrick Jones Gallery are going to have a great time demonstrating how much this means to us. Join us for a fully female-themed event! Everything will be entirely women. We have the perfectly curated selection for you. Icons in the art world such as Sylvie Fleury and Sandra Chevrier will be exhibited, as well as up-and-comers you are going to want to keep your eye on like Eva Darling and Victoria Verdandi. There will be no shortage in diversity, and we know there will be something for every type of person to enjoy.

The Other Art Fair, presented by Saatchi Art, is returning to Dallas Market Hall for a highly anticipated 2nd edition this October 21 – 24, showcasing over 130 independent and emerging artists, each handpicked by a committee of art world experts.
Plus, interactive art installations and murals, exclusive collective features, live DJ sets, food, and drinks.
Come for the art, stay for an experience unlike any other.
One photograph in a day, 30 photographs in a month
30 frames are needed in a second in the Premiere.
If I use one photograph, which is one day's work,
one month becomes one second. one year becomes 12 seconds so ten years become 2 minutes
In this video project, I collected 3 years of work (become 36 seconds)
Even though this is a long time, my work is shown in a very short time period.
I also collected the sound every day and used them in each frame.
The outcome of this collection of sounds becomes very grotesque.
One day is separated from other days, and also the sound.
In the end, this project shows the 'separated times in a continuation'.
The mission of the Fort Worth Community Arts Center is to exhibit contemporary art. The selection process is highly competitive. The Arts Center is looking for artist submissions for solo shows and curated proposals for group exhibitions of a professional level that are innovative, inclusive, educational, and serve diverse audiences.
SoCur proposal reviews take place once a year.

‘Broq pa’ is the name of a small village in Nepal located at the end of the Silk Road.
In Broq-pa, the symbolic meaning of flowers is very special. In the Nepalese culture, flowers symbolize love, happiness, and appreciation for God. Broq-pa’s women are committed to growing flowers in their garden and decorate their hair with flowers every day.
Ziesook’s desire to share the spirit of Broq-pa with people through her artwork was the inspiration for her series, Scent of Broq-pa.”

Broqpa is the name of a small village in Nepal. Ziesook first learned of it from a TV documentary, The Last Empire. Ziesook was moved by what she learned about a small village located at the end of the Silk Road in Nepal named Broq-pa. In Broq-pa, the symbolic meaning of flowers is very special. In the Nepalese culture, flowers symbolize love, happiness, and appreciation for God. Broq-pa’s women are committed to growing flowers in their garden and decorate their hair with flowers every day. Zeisook wanted to incorporate this traditional symbolism from Broq-pa into her work and into her own personal life. She believes that this ephemeral medium, the flower, can carry a piece of happiness into people’s lives Ziesook's desire to share the spirit of Broq-pa with people through her artwork was the inspiration for her series, Scent of Broq-pa. The first work in the Broq-pa project began in 2016 with floral portraits of her twin daughters. Ziesook is continuing the series by exploring floral portraits of seniors, single mothers, people from multicultural backgrounds, and different age groups. Ziesook's art form always involves communication with the subject. She strives to have her work project the individual’s personality. Ziesook's goal is to create an intimate visual that incorporates multiple layers of meaning. By experimenting with various media and combining fresh flowers and dry flowers, Ziesook creates an image with characteristics that lie somewhere between photography and painting. Experience the Scent of Broq-pa at the Pardieu Gallery Saturday, October 24th through November 21st.
